What is a fun fact about yourself that people might not know?

Stephanie OniI hail from Nigeria, where I spent my formative years. A deep-rooted passion for venturing into uncharted territories, delving into diverse cultures, and embracing novel experiences has been with me since my adolescence. The seeds of this love for travel were sown during my teenage years, courtesy of my father’s military career, which led us to relocate frequently. He was the epitome of knowledge and an exemplary role model. During these relocations, I had the privilege of embarking on worldly adventures with him, sparking my keen interest in learning about various cultures.

My journey of travel and cultural exploration took another significant step when I pursued my master’s degree in the UK, where I was exposed to a rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds.

What do you think are 3 words to describe fusionSpan?

United, Delivering seamless services & Collaboration

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you had?

Before working at fusionSpan I worked for a halal-based financial service company where we had to create products that were in line with Islamic principles of not charging interest – profit sharing instead. We also couldn’t invest in certain types of equities and investment products but it was a lot of fun to learn a different style of financial services. I was responsible for creating instruments and researching equities-based products that also got listed on the stock exchange, I worked on financial products, debt debt-related products as well in compliance with the services. The transition from this environment to a Tech setting has been an interesting journey for me.

What do you like most about fusionSpan?

I must emphasize our diverse workforce and the collaboration that takes place within our incredible team. Together, we deliver solutions to support nonprofit organizations. I feel heard here and don’t feel lost. Our concerns are addressed here by management and HR and that’s the best part of working at fusionSpan.

What does your ideal weekend look like?

It is for sure family getaways on weekends, such as in Banff, involve plenty of relaxation and strolls through exquisite gardens and natural landscapes.

How do you spend your free time?

In my leisure time, I indulge in activities like reading, crafting, and watching TV series with my family. My absolute favorite show is ‘Modern Family,’ and I relish the moments when my family and I binge-watch ‘Suits’ together, combining it with some crafting.

What is your favorite movie?

I love watching Marvel movies, such as The Avengers, Iron Man, Hulk, etc, and any law/detective-based show.
