fusionSpan’s president, co-founder, and resident rock star, Gayathri Kher, joined the Michigan Society of Association Executives as a keynote speaker July 17-19, 2019 for their OrgPro event held at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville, MI.
Gayathri’s keynote session dug into the art and science of using personalization to increase engagement. Associations are uniquely qualified, empowered, and expected to deliver personalized content and experiences. Gayathri’s session, which can be accessed below, focused on the methods of personalization and considerations for getting right from day one. Gayathri also presented two breakout sessions focusing on using data to assess risk and data security for associations.
MSAE also hosted a second keynote speaker, Doug Stanton, author of “Horse Soldiers,” upon which the movie, 13 Strong, was based. He discussed his new book, “In Harm’s Way,” the story of the survival of 316 sailors after the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. Stanton focused on how association professionals can be a lifeline to their colleagues, families, and communities.
